| We are a Horse and a Horse Lovers Dream Stable! The horses and their owners here at Red Star Stables are top priority. We are honored to have a very unique and diverse array of gorgeous equines boarding with us, and great group of people as well! We are proud of the service we offer and the clients we have. We are currently offering Barns A & B for horse boarding. Barn "A" was newly finished in October 2007 and is a first-class horse stable offering the very best quality care for the discriminating horse owner. The professional staff at Red Star Stables will handle all equines with the utmost respect and care...as if they were our own. The full service barn includes grain and hay feeding, and DAILY turn out service, stall cleaning, plus a Pyranha fly system. The barn has concrete floors and stalls, interlocking rubber mat cushions in each stall, and we use low dust pelleted bedding. We provide coordination and handling of the horses for the veterinarian and farrier, for routine care. The stables is heated to a perfect 40 degrees for horses, with hot and cold water, and a heated and air conditioned tack room. We have open hours for boarders to come and go as they need to accommodate their diverse and busy schedules. We're small and we LOVE it! We are able to offer the type of service not found in larger stables. You will be sure your horse receives regular one on one attention and lots of pampering! 8 hours of daily/year around turnout on to a large grass pasture for all the horses is a huge priority! How important is turn-out to a horse? How do you think you would like it if you were locked in a room no larger that your guest bathroom for twenty-three hours a day? Horses need turn-out to run, socialize and graze. It's about their physical and mental health. It is our belief a horse is healthier, calmer and happier when given the opportunity to spend time in a vast pasture and is allowed to run with a herd, play, breathe the fresh air and just "be a horse!" If your barns idea of "turn out" is only in perfect weather and onto a dry lot, this not what we consider "turn out"...for us, turn out does NOT mean a confined dry lot...it means a vast grass pasture with a herd, this is how a horse was created to be, this is what they NEED... everyday, year around, including all holidays! The owners' home is on the property for constant supervision. Boarder is responsible for personal care of their horse beyond the standard boarding, such as farrier fees, veterinary, medications, additional feed, feed supplements, lessons, trailering expenses...etc. No Stallions or pregnant mares. |
